Pineapple Field

For many years, pineapple was king on Lana`i. In the late 1980s, pineapple was phased out because it could be raised more cheaply elsewhere. A shame really because, in my humble opinion, Lana`i pineapple was the best in all the islands. This image was stitched together from two Kodachrome slides that I took before the phase-out, then cropped to normal print size.
