Kapukahehu Beach

Kapukahehu Beach is a beautiful but small beach on a well-protected cove near the end of Kalua Koi Road. it is also known as Dixie Maru Beach as a result of Japanese fishing boat named Dixie Maru that was stranded off the rocky coast. Supposedly a worker from the Moloka`i Ranch hung the nameplate from the wrecked boat on the gate to the beach — and the name stuck.
