Hello Friends and Family,

The sun is getting low in the sky. The cacti are casting long shadows. The wait is almost over.

From dbg.org, "LIGHT BLOOM by HYBYCOZO is a limited-time exhibit where nature and light converge. This mesmerizing display invites you to explore the Garden transformed by stunning geometric light installations that illuminate the beauty of the desert landscape in a new way. As the sun sets, LIGHT BLOOM comes to life, casting intricate shadows and vibrant hues across the Garden. Wander the trails and let the enchanting installations transport you to a magical realm where the natural world meets the abstract."

Wow! A single large cube with carefully planned and executed holes allows light to enchant the eye both on the cube itself but also on the area under the cube.

If one cube is spectacular, multiple cubes are even more so.

Moving to a diamond shape with magical patterns in each small opening, we are mesmerized by the detailing therein but also where the light patterns dance on the ground.

You may recall this figure from the earlier daytime shot but see how it takes your breath away even more than the daytime image could ever do.

This image is similar to the earlier one with the same shape but different patterns in the cutouts, resulting in different patterns on the ground.

It is getting darker still, further enhancing the overlapping light patterns on the ground coming from these three different geometric figures.

Wow! Eight towers of smaller figures with a beautiful orangish-red hue lighting up this corner of the garden.

This piece of art also grabbed my eye and brain, even though it was different in style than all the others. Magnificent!

Not only are the artistic pieces lovely, but also the trees and plants that live here full-time are enhanced further by the final rays of the setting sun, plus a small number of lights to further enhance the visual experience.

If you are interested in seeing this wonderful exhibit in person, the Garden has extended the stay through March 30. Adult ticket prices are $32.95, and child tickets are $19.95. You can visit the garden as long as you like (until closing time, of course).

Also, for those who live in Phoenix, the Phoenix Public Library offers a program called "Culture Pass". It gives a library customer FREE admission for two people at participating arts and cultural institutions (the Desert Botanical Garden is one of these). Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can get more information at https://www.phoenixpubliclibrary.org/services/unique/culture-pass.

Life is good.

Aloha,
B. David
