Key West, Part 6

One of the real treats of this visit to Key West was a tour of The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory. There were many hundreds of butterflies — typically 50 to 60 species at any one time, all tropical. They are raised on butterfly farms then shipped to Key West and released only within the conservatory. And even though they have no voices, their photos speak for themselves.

Spider Birds In addition to all these wonderful butterflies, I found a very interesting spider...

and some magnificent tropical birds.

Birds Birds Some were shy...

but one a bit more curious.

If you go to Key West, this is a wonderful attraction to visit in person. A still camera can only partially capture a fraction of the magic of hundreds of butterfly flittering about.

 Life is good.

 Aloha,
 B. David
